Putting Up The Tree
Playing Christmas Carols on the Bells
Mom gave me these chimes for my birthday when I was a teen. They are the gift that just keeps on giving! It's just not Christmas until we've played some carols together. I was surprised how well the girls are getting at following the music!
New Advent Calendar
I had some extra burlap sitting around and thought of a fun way to use it. I happened to have some wrapping paper with little ornaments on it, so that worked great for the ornaments. In the back of each one, we have a fun activity to do each month of the year. The girls love seeing what fun thing we'll do that day.
Zoo Lights with Adam & Lacey's Family
We were SO excited to finally make it to the zoo, and to see the fun Christmas lights and Santa. We were not disappointed one bit. This Santa seems like the "real" one to us. It was a magical time, even though Claire wouldn't get near him!
Temple Square with the Hartwells
We braved the cold and crowds for a fun night out with our friends. They were patient with us, and despite meltdowns and freezing fingers, we had a great time!
Grace's Performance
We found out that Grace is quite the little performer! She performed with her preschool class at a rest home, and she was about 10x more into it than the others. She stole the show! I couldn't stop smiling with pure delight, watching her animation! And then when the Primary children sang at our ward Christmas party, she stood up there singing with the rest, but it seemed like she was the only one on stage. Again, pure delight! People kept commenting on how cute she was and wondering if we have her performing anywhere. Claire is next to Gracie, being brave to be up there for the first time. Millie is back behind other kids...we couldn't even see her!
Making Christmas Gifts
One of our favorite traditions is making little gifts for friends. Oh how we love being crafty!
Yorgason Family Christmas Party
It was so fun to have Jordan and Marianne's family here with us this Christmas! We had a great time doing all the things we always do: candy houses, the live nativity, performing Christmas songs, delicious food, and a visit from Santa!
Thatcher Family Christmas Party
It was a happening evening up at Thatcher Manor. We had fun hearing the grandkids play Christmas songs, did a live nativity, and had delicious breads and soups. And grandma spoiled us with lots of gifts, including our very own fairy house! The girls use it whenever the tooth fairy is coming.
Christmas Morning
I'm glad we took pictures of some of the presents, otherwise I would have forgotten what we got! Grace loved her leopard. Millie loved her new purse. Claire got just what she wanted--a gun and a backpack! And Ivie's favorite gift came from Grandma Jerry--a rocking horse. We also got mancala, perler beads, hoola hoops, and sticker earrings. Grace claimed my jewel box from Lynne, and I was happy she found something she loved! As for Paul, he got a mistletoe that i made, along with many kisses!
